In Bangalore I gave up my espresso addiction for the local favorite--milk tea. Do not mistake this tea for the western equivalent, spices are boiled in milk rather than in water with milk added later. As a result, the tea is rich and velvety. All the spices make a deep layer of flavor that is addictive.
My favorite part of having tea is that it is a social unifier because everyone, regardless of social class or education, has tea. Tea shops are found in alleys and corners by the road. Im sharing a picture of my enjoying tea in a Sari store in Bangalore.
